We take pride in our excellence in accommodating almost all allergies and dietary restrictions. Our trained staff and facility implement responsible kitchen procedures to avoid cross contamination of food products and equipment. Our trusted practices have served a myriad of requests over the years and we will always try our best to accommodate. That said, we are not a 100% "free" facility, as we work with all ingredients including nuts, gluten, dairy, soy, animal proteins, etc. Please contact us with your concerns regarding allergies and dietary restrictions or for more information on our kitchen and service practices to ensure the safety of all.
Green Plate Catering is a full service catering company. We offer rentals and equipment based on your events needs. We are happy to work with third party vendors to equip your event with anything you can dream up. With nearly 40 years of experience, we enjoy sharing our expertise and working closely with our clients to plan and execute your event seamlessly.
Absolutely! Every proposal created by Green Plate Catering is customized for a specific event and with the client in mind. After all, it's our business to cater to you! From using your great grandmother's famous bread recipe to signature cocktails suited for the bride and groom, we enjoy working closely with our clients to create an unforgettable event, every time.
Our policies on saving a specific date, deposit and payment schedule, contract, cancellations and final guest count vary from event to event. Sometimes events are last minute or planned in advance enough that there is room to be flexible with payments and finalizations. Generally, we ask for 10% down - we'll confirm timelines in your proposal.
We do accept all major credit cards. However, a 3% fee will be added to your invoice total to cover the costs associated with offering the convenience of credit card payment.
We do! Tastings are scheduled and generally held at our facility in Wheaton, Maryland for a select number of guests. Tastings may be limited to a predetermined menu so you may get a feel for our quality of food rather than try specific menu items. A small fee is charged to cover our costs associated with the tasting. However, if you choose to use our services, we will deduct the amount from your total invoice.
